ASTC, Assam State Transport
Corporation was started as a Government Department with 4 nos. of
buses to run between Guwahati and Nagaon. Gradually the transport
network of the department Expanded through out the state of Assam
providing safe and reliable transport service to the people. The
state transport department was converted to a corporation on 30th
March, 1970 and Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) was borne
with the objective of providing economical, safe, comfortable and
reliable passenger transport service.

Train Ticket
We are IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering & Tourism
Corporation Limited) authorised e-ticketing agent for trains of Indian Railway.
We are working as an e-ticketing agent since 2007.
Our charges for sleeper class is Rs.10/- per
ticket and for higher classes Rs.20/- per passenger. Besides our
charges passenger are liable to pay 02 (two) other charges, viz. IRCTC service charge (For details of this charge one may visit
IRCTC's website) and transaction charges.
Benefits of Railway e-Ticket:
e-Ticket is
available even when Railway PRS counter is closed. Booking of
e-Ticket is permitted through 05:00 Hrs. to 23:00 Hrs.
e-Ticket can be faxed or emailed.
For cancellation of
e-Ticket one need not to go to any PRS counter, if booked from us
just call or SMS us from anywhere with a request to cancel your
journey giving all details, we will cancel it.

New AC 3-Tier coaches having 72 berths instead of 64 berths will be attached to 5652 Guwahati - Jammu Tawi Lohit Exp. from 10-11-2008 and to 5651 Jammu Tawi - Guwahati Lohit Exp. on 12-11-2008. And to 5654 Guwahati - Jammu Tawi Amarnath Exp. on 12-11-2008 and to 5653 Jammu Tawi - Guwahati Exp. on 14-11-2008.

Identity details not required for e - ticket !!!!!
The identification details are not required at the time of booking now .The ID card will be required during journey. One of the passenger booked on an e-ticket should have any of the five identity cards(Voter identity card / Passport / Pan card / Driving license / Photo I/d card of Central/State Government issued to their employees) during train journey in original.

Chhat Puja Special Between Guwahati to Patna !!!
To clear extra rush of Chhat Festival, one Chhat special Train (0501) will run from Guwahati on 01-11-2008 and 0502 will run from Patna Jn. on 02-11-2008.
